Police are asking for the public’s help to find the man who robbed a Cyprus Credit Union in Riverton on Friday.
About 4:50 p.m., the suspect entered the credit union at 13717 S. Redwood Road and presented a note to the teller that indicated he wanted money, according to the Unified Police Department. He did not show or threaten the teller with any weapons, UPD adds in a news release.
The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, got into a blue Ford Taurus that was parked on the north side of the building and drove off.
He is described as a white man in his 20s, 5-foot-7, 170 pounds, and was wearing a grey hoodie, sun glasses, gloves and a blue bandana on his neck. The Ford Taurus is guessed to be a mid-2000 model, according to UPD.
Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect, as well as a picture of his car that a witness took, in hopes that someone can identify him. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the Unified Police Department at 801-743-7000.
