West Valley City police are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman who, with the help of a young boy, robbed a smoke shop at gun point.
Just after 4 p.m. on Saturday, the woman and boy — about 10 to 12 years old — entered Smokes 4 Less at 3392 S. 5600 West and talked to the shop attendant. During an alleged sale, the boy passed a note to the attendant demanding money and the woman "aggressively produced a handgun and pointed it at the shop attendant," according to the police.

The woman struggled to get several items from the attendant before she and boy ran out the door. Police report that they were seen getting into a silver or gray older model Dodge Durango.
The woman is described as a white or Hispanic female in her mid- to late 20s, and about 5-foot-6 with a thin build. Police advise that the woman should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information related to the robbery or who might recognize the woman is asked to call the West Valley City Police Department at 801-840-4000.
