Jacks, a family friend and baby sitter of the victim, forced her to perform sex acts on him at his home, according to charging documents. A court docket indicates that the abuse took place on Oct. 23.
After the girl told her mother what happened, the mother went to the police and the girl was interviewed at the Children’s Justice Center.
During an interview at the Roy City Police Department, Jacks admitted to investigators that he sexually abused the girl, according to the charges. After the girl protested to the activity, Jacks told police that he did not make her continue and told her not to tell anyone.
He was arrested and booked into Weber County Jail on Thursday on $40,000 bail.
Jacks has no criminal history in Utah other than a traffic violation, according to a search of court documents.
