Monday crashes temporarily clogged three high-traffic areas of Interstate 15 in Salt Lake County.

Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson said crashes in the southbound lanes of I-15 near 2700 South and northbound lanes of 3300 South occurred at 11:44 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., respectively.

A third accident, involving a car and a semi trailer rig, had shut down two northbound lanes on I-15 at 4500 South. No injuries were reported at that scene.

All traffic lanes were open again by about 2:25 p.m.

In the 2700 South crash, the driver of one car sustained what UHP characterized as minor injuries.

In the 3300 South accident, a car collided with a truck at an exit ramp, with the car's driver reportedly suffering serious injuries and being transported to the hospital by ambulance.
