Utah forecast: Sunny and warm on Election Day

This Election Day, Utahns and the rest of the nation will "set a plain man’s common sense against the pedant’s pride."

That much hasn’t changed since John Greenleaf Whittier penned those words in 1852. What always changes, though, is the weather — and this Tuesday will see mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the mid- to upper-60s along the Wasatch Front.

The polls in southern Utah will open to an even balmier forecast: highs in the low-80s under sunny autumn skies.

Air quality will be graded "Green,’ or healthy, statewide. So, no excuse for not exercising your right to cast a ballot now, is there?

Salt Lake City is pegged for a high of 70 Tuesday, up 4 degrees from Monday’s forecast; Ogden looks for 69 and 65 degrees, respectively; Provo 71 and 67; Logan 67 and 65; Wendover 65 and 63; Duchesne 66 and 61; Cedar City 72 and 69; St. George 82 and 80; and Moab 69 and 67 degrees.
