New county offices • A ribbon cutting will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at the new Davis County Administration Building, 61 S. Main St. The event will include tours of the building and the adjoining county library headquarters.

Emergency care • Davis Hospital and Medical Center will hold a ground-breaking ceremony at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, on a freestanding emergency department at 3451 W. 5600 South. The Layton-based hospital says the $11.4 million project will open early next summer.
