Breaking Dawn: Six Word Biography Contest

Write a six-word biography of your favorite "Breaking Dawn" character. Entries will be displayed in the library. All participants will be entered into a drawing for a Megaplex movie gift card. Contest ends Nov. 10.

Monster Truck Spectacular

The Maverik Center will host the Monster Truck Spectacular. The biggest names on the circuit will be present, including world champion Bounty Hunter, Iron Outlaw, Rock Star, rookie of the year Kalifornia Kid and Maverik Monster Trakker. Tickets available at http://www.ticketmaster.com.

Veterans Day Parade and Program

The City of Taylorsville and United Veterans Council will host the 2012 Veterans Day Parade and Program. The parade begins at Valley Regional Park and ends at Taylorsville City Hall. The co-grand marshals will be Sgt. Maj. Patrick N. Watkins, who served three tours of duty in Vietnam, and Sr. Master Sgt. Chuck Davis, who served in Korea and Vietnam.
