A 67-year-old man remained in critical condition Thursday, the day after he was injured in a three-car accident in Millcreek.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said the man, whose name was not released, was driving his Volkswagen south on State Street through the intersection with 3900 South on Wednesday afternoon when he was struck by a northbound Subaru turning left.

The Volkswagen then plowed into an eastbound Toyota Camry that was making a right turn onto State Street; the Volkswagen then careened into a utility pole.

The victim was taken to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray. No other injuries were reported.

UPD’s investigation into the accidents continued Thursday with no citations having been issued.
