Sometimes getting close to nature can be a frustrating and discouraging experience for children. The Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge and Friends of the Bear River Refuge are providing a way to build a love for nature in the warm confines of an auditorium.

The refuge is showing a free, family-friendly nature film each Saturday in November starting at 1 p.m. in the 200-seat auditorium of the Wildlife Education Center.

Nov. 3, "Hummingbirds: Magic in the Air" • These tiny marvels, the smallest warm-blooded creatures on the planet, dazzle and delight people all over the world, and NATURE reveals their stunning abilities. 73 minutes.

Nov. 10, "The Beauty of Ugly" • In the animal world looks aren't everything. A stunning variety of ghastly and gloriously ugly creatures are explored in this film from NATURE. 55 minutes.

Nov. 17, "Life in the Undergrowth" • David Attenborough guides the viewer through a miniature universe teeming with life, in this episode from the series: Taking to the Air! 50 minutes.

Nov. 24, "My Life as a Turkey" • A farmer raises a clutch of wild turkeys and his life is forever changed. Based on a true story. 51 minutes.
