The Utah Office of Tourism has released the 2013 Life Elevated Scenic Calendar. The 41st version of the calendar includes more than 75 images including shots from Utah's five national parks, state parks, ski resorts and national forests and recreation areas.

The cover image is of Thor's Hammer at Bryce Canyon National Park and was taken by Ed Riche.

"This publication does more than boost tourism," Spencer Eccles, executive director of the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) said in a prepared statement. "We use this calendar as a business recruitment tool because the stunning images of Utah's scenery and outdoor recreation capture the essence of why people like to live, work and play in Utah."

The 2013 calendars are $10 each, plus tax and shipping, and can be purchased online at http://www.uotstore.com. The calendars are also available at the Zion Natural History Association bookstore at Council Hall, 300 N. State St., across from the State Capitol.

"Contributing to this quality product are hundreds of images submitted by professional and amateur photographers every year," said Leigh von der Esch, managing director of the Utah Office of Tourism. "The calendar has been a popular gift for clients, family, and friends for more than 40 years. New technology and efficiencies have allowed much of the work to be done in-house, letting us to brand this publication with our VisitUtah.com website and other collateral materials."
