Crews on Friday contained a 100-plus acre wildfire in Morgan County.
The Mahogany Fire was 100 percent contained as of a 1 p.m. tweet from Jason Curry, a spokesman for the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands. About 50 firefighters fought the blaze Friday.

A man burning weeds ignited the blaze, and flames spread above Mahogany Canyon, just north of Interstate 84, between the towns of Morgan and Stoddard. No injuries or structural damage were reported, though flames did approach 10 canyon homes Thursday afternoon before being turned back.
Curry said the Morgan County man who started the fire had been cited for reckless burning.
