Woman ‘extremely critical’ after Murray auto-pedestrian accident

A woman remained in extremely critical condition Friday, the day after she was hit by a car while crossing a dark street in Murray.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said the 53-year-old woman had just exited a bus at 4190 South State Street about 8:35 p.m. Thursday and was crossing west to east when the northbound car hit her. She was taken to Intermountain Medical Center,

The driver was not injured.

No citations were issued, but the accident remained under investigation.

The woman, identified as Clara Garrow of Millcreek, was not using a crosswalk at the time of the accident, Hoyal said.
