An Emery County man was found dead in the mountains of Manti-La Sal National Forest east of Ephraim after he was reported missing for two days.

According to Emery County news station ETV-10 News, Ken Moosman's body was found in Upper Joe's Valley on Tuesday not far from his horse. The horse was still saddled and Moosman's gun was attached to the saddle.

Search and rescue authorities from Emery and Sanpete counties searched for Moosman on foot while a helicopter from the Department of Public Safety assisted from the air.

The Emery County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death. The manner of death has not been released. The office did not return requests for comment on Wednesday.
