Autumn also is winning, finally, in southern Utah. Gone are the 90s, replaced by overnight lows in the 50s and highs in the mid-80s, also under partially cloudy horizons.
Air quality is graded "Green," or healthy statewide, according to the Utah Division of Air Quality.
While low temperatures generally remain above freezing throughout Utah, eastern Utah’s Uintah County was under a hard-freeze warning for the mountains near Vernal.
Salt Lake City’s high for Tuesday was pegged at 73, up a bit from Monday’s forecast for 69 degrees; Ogden looked for 70 and 66 degrees, respectively; Provo 76 and 73; Logan 71 and 67; Wendover 68 and 64; Duchesne 71 and 68; Cedar City 74 and 73; St. George 85 and 83; and Moab 78 and 75 degrees.
