Here's your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Davis County Commission • Has canceled its Tuesday, Oct. 9, meeting.

Draper City • Will review its budget and listen to a radio communications system presentation. The city will hold its Emergency Preparedness Executive Committee meeting at 4 p.m. on Oct. 10 at 1020 E. Pioneer Road. View the Draper agenda.

Holladay City Council • Will hold public hearings to consider surplus properties, and to possibly amend sign regulations to accommodate the needs of Canyon Slope Square, also an agreement for irrigation ditch easements for the Big Cottonwood Tanner Ditch Company; Thursday, Oct. 11, 6 p.m., Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 4580 S. 2300 East, Holladay. Salt Lake County Council • Will consider a resolution that would remove Special Service District No. 1 out of the ranks of county agencies and on Jan. 1 would make it an independent sanitation district known as Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District; Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2:45 p.m. in the council work session, Room 2003, North Building, 2001 S.
