A woman accused of telling her husband to shoot a neighbor he believed had "telepathically raped" her remains unfit to stand trial.
Meloney Toone Selleneit, 54, has been in the Utah State Hospital, where doctors have hoped to restore her to competency so she can stand trial. This week, however, a 2nd District judge ruled Selleneit was not competent.
She will have another review in April.
Selleneit and her husband, Michael Selleneit, face charges in connection with the October 2011 shooting of Tony Pierce.
According to charges, Michael Selleneit told police he was acting in self-defense when he shot the man, claiming his Centerville neighbor had "telepathically" threatened him and his wife, and had "telepathically raped" his wife many times.
Last month, Michael Selleneit was deemed competent to stand trial. He is charged with first-degree attempted murder and second-degree felony possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person. A trial is set for January.
