Utah’s forecast heading toward the weekend? How about sunny days and starry nights, lazy afternoons. You might even take time to count castles in the clouds.
And Kenny Loggins might add, all this may stir you to hum little tunes.

That’s because the National Weather Service predicts mostly sunny skies and high temperatures in the upper-70s Friday for the Wasatch Front, mirroring the region’s forecast for Thursday. Overnight lows will range in the low- to mid-50s.
In southern Utah the prognostications are for highs in the upper-80s to low-90s with overnight lows in the upper-50s.
Those clear, crisp and cool nighttime skies will be an invitation to fill your lungs with Rocky Mountain air, too. The Utah Division of Air Quality has graded the entire state as "Green," or healthy for breathability heading into the weekend.
Salt Lake City’s looks for a high temperature Friday of 79, up eight degrees from Thursday’s forecast; Ogden expects 75 and 74 degrees, respectively; Provo 78 and 77; Logan 77 and 76; Wendover 77 and 76; Duchesne 73 and 69; Cedar City 78 and 76; St. George 91 and 83; and Moab 78 and 77 degrees.
