A 21-year-old Carl’s Jr. employee was in critical condition Sunday morning after he crossed into oncoming traffic and was struck in Magna.
Unified Police Detective Levi Hughes said the man was leaving work about 12:30 a.m. when he tried to cross the street at 8169 W. 3500 South and walked into oncoming traffic.

A 19-year-old woman didn’t see him and struck him, Hughes said.
The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition with head injuries, he said.
Police are investigating the incident. Hughes said the man crossed the street where there wasn’t a crosswalk or a traffic light.jstecklein@sltrib.com
