Civics Central: Security cams in Bountiful, fowl rules in Ogden

Here’s your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Midvale Planning Commission • Will consider conditional use permits for International Auto Group and Solutions Inc.; Wednesday, Sept. 26, 7 p.m., Council chambers, City Hall, 655 W. Center St., Midvale. View the Midvale agenda.

Murray City Council • Will hold a retreat to discuss internal operation of the City Council office including staffing, job duties and responsibilities; Wednesday, Sept. 26, 4:30 p.m., conference room #107 of the Murray City Center, 5025 S. State St. View the Murray agenda.

Ogden City Council • Will consider proposed ordinance clarifying confinement of fowl; Tuesday, Sept. 25, 6 p.m., followed by a work session discussing city participation in the development of a 7-Eleven convenience store at 17th Street and Washington Boulevard; 3rd floor Council chambers and adjacent work room, Municipal Building, 2549 Washington Blvd., Ogden. South Weber City Council • Has canceled its Tuesday, Sept. 25, meeting.

South Jordan Planning Commission • Will consider appeal of denied home-occupation business license for Majestic Trucking and Excavating at 1382 W. 11400 South; Tuesday, Sept. 25, 6:30 p.m., Council Chambers, City Hall, 1600 W. Towne Center Dr., South Jordan. View the South Jordan agenda.
