Salt Lake City police are seeking the public’s help in bringing a bank robber to justice — after he allegedly hit the same bank two days in a row.
The robber, wearing a green and white baseball cap and a red jacket, walked into the Zions Bank branch office at 300 W. 1420 South at 2:54 p.m. Thursday and demanded money from an employee.
Detectives suspect that the same robber, described as a white man with dark facial hair, hit the same bank Wednesday.
Wearing a knitted cap, sunglasses, a hooded yellow sweatshirt and blue rubber-like gloves, the man walked into bank at 9:08 a.m. Wednesday.
He handed a note to the teller demanding money and also verbally indicated he was armed.
The teller surrendered an unspecified amount of cash, and the robber fled on foot.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 801-799-3000. Anonymous tips also may be sent by texting TIPSLCPD plus information to CRIMES (274637).
