A South Salt Lake man is accused of siccing four pit bulls on a man who walked on his yard.

In charges filed Tuesday, police wrote that the victim was attacked when he "entered the yard" of the man, near 170 East and 3185 South, on July 21. A witness told police he heard the defendant tell the dogs, "Let's go get him," charges state.

The defendant, 30, allegedly hit the victim in the face while the dogs bit him multiple times, leaving injuries that required stitches.

The victim identified his accused attacker in a photo lineup, police wrote.

The defendant was charged with third-degree felony aggravated assault.
