Here's your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Davis County Commission • Will discuss liquor license renewal for Legacy Events Center, will also consider ordinance establishing a county ethics review commission and a merit systems ordinance regarding ethics complaints, 10 a.m. Tuesday, room 236 of Memorial Courthouse Building, 28 E. State St., Farmington. View the Davis County agenda.

Murray City Council • Will consider increasing the monthly garbage and recycling fee from $10 to $11 starting in fiscal year 2014, will also recognize the police department for participating in the FBI's National Data Exchange, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, City Hall, 5025 S. State St., Murray. View the Murray agenda.

Salt Lake City Council • Will consider passing an ordinance to allow accessory dwelling units attached to single family homes. It also will consider passing an ordinance to allow pubs in neighborhoods, Tuesday at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 451 S. State, Room 315.

Salt Lake County Council • Will consider a recommendation to increase admission fees at Clark Planetarium by $1 on Oct. 1, which would generate an additional $26,000 next year, 2 p.m. Tuesday, room 2003, North Building, County Government Complex, 2001 S. State. Decision likely to be ratified at 4 p.m. council session, first floor council chambers, same building. At 9 a.m., a feasibility study on regional delivery of public works' services will be held in room 2003.

South Jordan City Council • Will consider a sign appeal for Payne Orthodontics, will also consider appeal for extension of conditional use permit for District Heights Apartments & Clubhouse, 6 p.m. Tuesday, City Hall, 1600 W. Towne Center Dr., South Jordan. View the South Jordan agenda.

West Jordan Planning Commission • Will hold public hearings on 6.2-acre Copperfield Subdivision and amending planning ordinance with new performance-based language, 6 p.m. Wednesday in 3rd floor chambers, 8000 S. Redwood Rd., West Jordan. View the West Jordan agenda.

West Valley City Council • Will hold a public hearing and possibly take action on allowing full-video animation on electronic signs under certain conditions, will also consider approving the joint purchase with Salt Lake City of a laser scanning system for use by the police department. The Council will also consider a records appeal from The Salt Lake Tribune, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, City Hall, 3600 Constitution Blvd., West Valley City. View the West Valley City agenda.

Draper City Council • Draper City will hold a public hearing Sept. 18 at 9:10 p.m., regarding ordinance #1027 for adopting the Draper Frontrunner Community Development Area Plan. This will include presentations from many including property owners who live within the proposed area.

Saratoga Springs City Council • The council will be meeting on Sept. 18 to ratify emergency response and flood mitigation contracts and purchases related to debris flow caused the by Dump Fire. The council will also discuss and plan for a goal and directions for long term flood mitigation efforts.
