West Jordan police arrested a 15-year-old suspected of more than 100 tire slashings that have plagued the Jordan Highlands neighborhood since Labor Day weekend.

Police got on the boy's trail after a West Jordan resident found out he was selling her cell phone, which was stolen during one of the vandalism incidents. Police also believe the West Jordan boy is responsible for starting dumpster fires and vandalizing property at West Hills Middle School. The boy was likely working alone, police say.

The 15-year-old is expected to be booked into juvenile detention and police will recommend multiple felony charges that will include criminal mischief, vehicle burglary and arson.
