A South Jordan man is accused of groping young girls at his subdivision’s swimming pool.
In charges filed Tuesday, police wrote that the man, 65, swam up behind a girl, now 12, and held her in the water while he pushed his genitals against her body as she struggled. Earlier in the day, he tried to spread her legs open while giving her a foot rub, police wrote.

On another occasion, he allegedly invited a 9-year-old to sit on his lap and then began "scooting up" on her.
Another girl, 13, said she was sitting on the man’s lap when he grabbed her knees and pulled her closer to him.
The acts allegedly occurred between November 2008 and May 2012 at a subdivision near 3800 West and Broadwick Road.
The man was charged with two first-degree felony counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and three third-degree felony counts of lewdness with a prior offense involving a child.
