The teen and a 25-year-old relative were hunting doves on a trail near 3500 West and 4000 North in Plain City when a thunderstorm blew in Saturday afternoon.
The two made a run for the trail parking lot when they were struck by lightning. The teen was later flown in critical condition to Primary Children’s.
The 25-year-old suffered some injuries but was also going to be all right, deputies said.
