Two women were in improved condition Friday, the day after being ejected during a rollover on Interstate 215.
Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson said the women had initially been reported in critical condition when taken — one by air and the other by ground ambulance — to the hospital Thursday night. Both women had been upgraded to serious condition as of Friday morning, he said.

The male driver and another female passenger, meanwhile, were treated for minor injuries and released.
Johnson said the driver was the only occupant wearing a seat belt when he lost control of the van at 9:41 p.m. Thursday. The van then rolled off the left side of an off-ramp connecting Interstate 215 and Interstate 80 near the Salt Lake City International Airport.
No citations had been issued as the accident remains under investigation.
