Small donations to worthy causes will be good for a free ride on Snowbird's Tram Oct. 13-14 and Oct. 18-21 as part of the resort's annual "Customer Appreciation Days."

The offer is for Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort guests who donate a can of food, a hygiene item or $3 to Wasatch Adaptive Sports on any of those days between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., said resort spokeswoman Emily Moench.

Requested hygiene items include toothpaste, soap, baby diapers and wipes; preferred canned food items include tuna, chili, soup, stew, vegetables, fruit, beans, spaghetti sauce and peanut butter. Rice, macaroni and cheese, boxed dinners, cake mix and pasta also are desirable, she added, as are special-needs foods such as low-sugar and low-sodium items.
