You know it’s been a hot summer when talk of temperatures merely in the 90s portends a cooling trend.
That’s what the National Weather Service is predicting for Wednesday, however, as high temperatures "dip" into the low-90s along the Wasatch Front and, comparatively, chill into the mid- to upper-90s in southern Utah, where triple digits have been the norm for several weeks.
Air quality statewide is rated "Green," or healthy, according to the Utah Division of Environmental Quality.
Part of the reason for those cooler temperatures is the forecast for isolated thunderstorms and rain showers throughout the region going into the mid-week.
Salt Lake City’s high temperature Wednesday was predicted to be 94 degrees, down three degrees from Tuesday’s forecast; Ogden looked for 92 and 94, respectively; Provo 93 and 96; Logan 92 and 94; Wendover 93 and 97; Duchesne 86 and 84; Cedar City 88 and 90; St. George 100 and 101; and Moab 97 and 95 degrees.
