Sunny skies, some isolated storms expected across Utah

Despite the threat of isolated thunderstorms, it should be a nice start to the workweek.

There is a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms popping up after noon Monday across most of the state, but otherwise, it was expected to be mostly sunny.

The state’s air quality was expected to be "green" or good, but officials still recommended that unusually sensitive people consider reducing outdoor exertion.

Salt Lake City’s high temperature for Monday and Tuesday was pegged at 93 and 94, respectively; Logan, 92 and 93; Provo 93 and 95; Wendover 93 and 96; Duchesne 85 and 85; Cedar City 86 and 86; St. George 99 and 101; and Moab 93 and 95 degrees.
