A Logan police officer suffered minor injuries in a collision Tuesday afternoon while he was responding to a call.
Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson said the officer was eastbound on U.S. Highway 89 (400 North) heading to an injury crash with his lights and sirens running when the crash occurred at the intersection of 100 East.

Johnson said a woman was southbound on 100 East heading toward a red light. He said the woman told troopers that as she approached the intersection, the light turned green so she proceeded through.
The two vehicles collided in the middle.
Because the crash involved a Logan officer, the Highway Patrol was asked to investigate. Johnson said the incident remained under investigation as troopers worked to determine who was at fault.
No citations had been issued. He said the case would be turned over the prosecutors office to screen for possible charges once the investigation was completed.
Assistant Police Chief Jeff Curtis said the officer, who has been on the force for several years, suffered some cuts and abrasions on his left arm from the airbag deployment. The woman, who was in the other vehicle, also escaped serious injury, he said.
