A Montana woman allegedly trying to follow her fiance’s advice made sure she had lighter fluid as she drove around Ogden in a stolen car.
Police said they tried to stop the woman about 10:30 p.m. Friday after allegedly observing a drug transaction, but lost track of her after she drove into oncoming traffic to elude officers.

A short time later, they spotted her car — a Dodge Intrepid — burning near Century Drive and Indian Camp Road.
They found the woman hiding nearby in a clump of trees with twigs and leaves stuck in her hair. Police said she had fled the car barefoot, which caused her to cut her feet.
The woman allegedly told police that her fiance had told her that if she ever needed to get rid of the car, which had been reported stolen from Montana, she should burn it.
So she did, police said, which led officers right to her.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of felony arson in addition to several other charges.
