Unified police identified the bicyclist killed during a Sunday crash as 51-year-old Brad Hendricks.
Hendricks, of Millcreek, was riding westbound about 2:25 a.m. near 1600 W. Taylorsville Expressway (4500 South) when he was struck from behind by a man driving a Mazda6, said Unified police Lt. Justin Hoyal.

Hendricks died at the scene.
Hoyal said the driver, 29, did not see Hendricks, who was riding without lights, reflective gear or a helmet in a 50 mph travel lane. Hoyal said the road is not well-lit where the crash occurred.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors, but Hoyal said the case would be screened with prosecutors to see if charges are appropriate.
