Police are asking the public’s help in bringing to justice four suspects in the armed robbery of a Taylorsville Shell gas station early Friday morning.
Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said three Latino males wearing hooded sweatshirts walked into the station at 4111 S. Redwood Road about 2 a.m. The trio went to the store’s beer cooler, grabbed several cases of beer and fled the store.

The clerk tried to stop the thieves but a fourth suspect, also a Latino male who was standing outside the store, pointed a handgun at him. The clerk raised his hands and the four suspects left the area on foot; no getaway vehicle was seen.
Hoyal said UPD officers responded and searched the area without success.
Police had little more information about the suspects, but did pull images from the store’s security camera in hopes the members of the public might help with information on the four or the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to call UPD detectives at 801-743-5950.
