Police have identified the man killed when the car he was driving plunged off a road and crashed into a fence and tree in Murray.
Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said Tuesday that the victim of the 5:45 p.m. Monday accident was Chad West, 40, of Midvale.

West was driving a Ford Crown Victoria westbound on 5600 South when he went off the side of the road near 1850 East. He was taken to Intermountain Medical Center, where he later died.
Investigators believe speed was a factor.
