Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect in a holdup of a Utah First Credit Union earlier this week.
Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said the suspect — described as a white male, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall and about 170 pounds — was last seen wearing a white and dark gray or black hat, a white short-sleeved shirt with a black long-sleeved shirt under it, an orange construction-style vest and blue jeans.
Hoyal said the man entered the credit union at 6935 S. 900 East in Midvale about 3:40 p.m. on Monday and handed a note to the teller demanding cash. The teller complied and the suspect, who did not display a weapon during the robbery, put the money in a black shoulder bag and fled northbound on a bicycle. Witnesses saw a red dye bag that had been included with the money by the teller go off as the suspect pedalled away.
