Salt Lake County Council • Is expected to take action on Salt Lake City’s proposal to team up on the development and operation of a large downtown theater, dubbed the Utah Performing Arts Center; Tuesday, Aug. 14, 1 p.m., County Government Center, North Building, Room 2003, 2001 S. State St. The council is scheduled to ratify its action at its 4 p.m. meeting in the first floor council chambers. Revisions of the county’s business license ordinance also will be discussed at both meetings.
