Police are searching for a 5-year-old Tooele boy whose mother allegedly disappeared with him before she was set to lose custody.
Noah Gardner's mother took him Aug. 3, and family members last heard from the pair Tuesday, said Lt. Paul Wimmer. Investigators are concerned because his mother, 41-year-old Gina E. Cross, suffers from mental illness.
Noah is described as a white boy with brown eyes and blond hair, about 3 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 50 pounds. Cross is a white woman with brown eyes, brown hair, about 5 feet 1 inch tall weighing 90 pounds.
She may be driving a red 2008 Chevrolet Aveo 4-door car with Utah license plate A650JM, and could be in Salt Lake City or the Davis County area.
