When he pulled into the intersection, police said he was struck by a northbound Chevrolet pickup that had the right-of-way.
The pickup driver braked in an effort to avoid the collision, but was unable to stop in time, police said.
Meservy was transported to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, where he later died, police said.
