A 2-year-old girl apparently drowned Wednesday after she disappeared from her LaVerkin home.
Washington County Sheriff’s Office officials said Jada Harris’ death appears to be a tragic accident, and there were no obvious signs of foul play.

Authorities said the girl was outside with her family about 8 p.m. while they were doing yard work Wednesday and wandered away when her family took their eyes off of her for a few seconds.
Searchers found her dead in LaVerkin Creek about two hours later. The creek is within walking distance of the family home, officials said.
