Two days after he was struck on a dark Tooele street by a minivan, a 51-year-old man remained in critical condition Wednesday.
Tooele police Lt. Paul Wimmer said the man’s condition was unchanged at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, where he was flown Monday night.

Police say the man, whose identity continued to be withheld, was wearing dark clothing when he crossed a poorly lit section of 1200 North Main Street about 10:30 p.m. Monday.
A northbound car swerved to miss the man, but the Chevy Astro minivan traveling southbound was unable to avoid hitting him.
The incident remained under investigation and no citations had been issued Wednesday, Wimmer said.
