Here’s your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Cottonwood Heights Planning Commission • Will discuss and vote on a request from Castlewood Homes for final approval of a 4-lot subdivision at 7061 S. 1700 East; Wednesday, Aug. 1, 6 p.m., Suite 300, 1265 E. Fort Union Blvd., Cottonwood Heights. View the Cottonwood Heights agenda.

Davis County Commission • Will consider a request for a temporary special event beer permit for Roosters Brewing Co. at the Antelope Island Balloon Festival and set a date for a hearing on Community Development Block Grant funds; Tuesday, July 31, 10 a.m., Davis County Memorial Courthouse, 28 E. Davis County Planning Commission • Will hold public hearings to consider conditional use permit amendments for the Craythorne Gravel Pit in Layton to lower the permitted mining level to 4,970 feet elevation and for Wasatch Integrated Waste Management to upgrade and relocate its Layton compost facility; Thursday, Aug. 2, 6 p.m., Davis County Memorial Courthouse, 28 E. State St., Farmington.

Holladay City Council » Will consider a restated development agreement with Holladay Village Square, LLC; also will consider amending personnel rules regarding Internet, email and corporate policies; Thursday, Aug. 2, 6 p.m., Council Chambers, 4580 S. 2300 East, Holladay. View the Holladay agenda.
