Fire crews were trying to determine how to approach a 150-acre fire burning Friday night in wilderness area in the Cedar Mountains in Tooele County.
Lightning started the Dallas Canyon Fire on Friday morning, said Heather O’Hanlon, spokeswoman for the Bureau of Land Management. It was burning in a wilderness area, which prevents crews from using high-impact heavy machinery, O’Hanlon said. Aircraft were not available after nightfall, leaving only foot crews to fight the fire and evaluate what habitat was at risk.

"We’ll probably have guys working through the night," she said.
Three other lightning-started fires were burning Friday night in Tooele County, O’Hanlon said: a smaller fire in the Cedar Mountains, one north of Interstate 80 near Grassy Mountain and one on Lake Mountain. They were not threatening structures.
