Fundraiser proceeds to go to slaying victim's family

Katie Sanchez, center, of Kearns, checks out community yard sale Saturday in Sandy to benefit the family of 6-year-old murder victim Sierra Newbold. Organized by Carvers Steak & Seafood and employee James Canterbury, the fundraiser included a bake sale, silent auction, live music and a bouncy house for kids at the Carvers restaurant in Sandy. Terry Lee Black, 41, has been charged with rape, murder and kidnapping in the June 26 slaying of Sierra.
