Unified Police officials have arrested one of two men wanted in the theft of a pair of speed skates from the Utah Olympic Oval.

Around midnight on July 19, the men broke into four lockers inside the oval and took two cellphones and one pair of custom speed skates valued at "several thousand dollars," Unified Police Department spokesman Justin Hoyal said. The skates belong to a member of the national speedskating team, Hoyal said.

The men were captured on surveillance cameras around the time of the theft. Detectives identified and arrested one of the men. The second man has a moustache and appears to be wearing a black shirt without sleeves and a black hat and has a tattoo on his left shoulder.

Hoyal said police have several tips but are asking anyone with information to call Unified Police at 801-967-4420.
