The Utah Transit Authority will offer extended service on Pioneer Day — but some TRAX routes will be blocked temporarily because of the Days of '47 Parade in downtown Salt Lake City.

UTA buses and TRAX trains will run on a Sunday schedule with extended morning and evening service. TRAX service will begin between 5:20 and 6:15 a.m. on various lines, and last trains of the evening will leave their beginning locations about 11 p.m. Exact schedules are available online at rideuta.com.

TRAX trains will not travel between the City Center and Arena stations, and between the Library and Courthouse stations, from 6 a.m. until after the parade ends at 1 p.m.

FrontRunner commuter trains will operate on a Saturday schedule with two extra trains departing Ogden at 6:16 and 7:16 a.m. Before and during the Days of '47 Parade, UTA will offer a free TRAX shuttle as far as the Arena station for FrontRunner passengers.

UTA also notes that some buses may be on temporary detour at various times of the holiday due to individual parades and celebrations in communities.
