Cragun said the accident is still being investigated, but it appears the woman’s vehicle left the road while she was heading west out of the canyon.
After getting back onto the roadway, the woman lost control of the car, and it rolled, Cragun said.
The victim’s 17-year-old grandson was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman was extricated from her vehicle and died at the accident scene.
Police are investigating whether another vehicle played a part in the accident, Cragun said.
