Sandy police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who was clad in his Sunday best and wearing an eye patch when he robbed a First Utah Bank on Friday.
Authorities say the man entered the bank, located at 11015 S. State St. at around 1 p.m., and passed a note to the teller, indicating that he had a gun and demanding money.
The man took an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving the bank on foot, and police say no weapon was ever displayed or seen.
The man is described as a 5-feet-8, white male, about 30-40 years of age with a medium build. He was wearing a dark suit with a blue button-up shirt and multi-colored tie.
He was also wearing a black eye patch over his right eye, and there was a distinct scar across the man's forehead near the right eye. He is described as having reddish-blond hair that was close cut and balding. He also had a goatee and mustache.
Anyone who has information is asked to call dispatch at 801-840-4000.
