A 15-year-old Holladay girl was in critical condition Thursday night, the day after she was struck by a car in a skateboard-related accident at 3900 South and 1950 East.

Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said the girl apparently lost control of her skateboard while riding on a sidewalk, and the board spun into traffic. She was hit by a westbound Honda car about 8 p.m. when she tried to retrieve the skateboard.
