Wanted: Utah women willing to share stories of overcoming obstacles to affect positive change in their lives.

SHEROES United Organization, a nonprofit sponsored by the Community Foundation of Utah, is looking for 30 unsung heroes whose accomplishments can serve as an "inspiration to others to find their voice or make change," according to a news release. The release said candidates may be interviewed for a possible television appearance on KUED Channel 7 as part of "Women & Girls Lead."

"Many voices tell many stories. From these stories, women find a role model, a story they identify with and the inspiration they need to make a change," said Celeste Gleave, SHEROES founder.

July 20 is deadline to nominate women. Nominations can be made at http://www.sheroesunited.org/p/blog-page.html or email them directly to Gleave at celeste@sheroesunited.org.
