Two motorcyclists died overnight in Utah County after they crashed while attempting to navigate a curve in Provo Canyon.
Utah Highway Patrol troopers said David C. Cancilla, 23, and Janet Velasco, 18, both of Orem, were southbound about 4:25 a.m. Sunday on State Route 189 near mile marker 10 when they left the roadway and hit a cable barrier and posts.

Both riders died at the scene, authorities said.
Troopers aren’t sure what caused the crash, which happened in a construction zone.
Investigators said wind gusts were reported in the area at the time of the crash, which may have contributed. Speed may also have been a factor, troopers said.
